Climate Change: How do you see it?

Faith and Environment Photography Project

Interact, in partnership with Global Tolerance, are launching the ‘Faith and Environment’ Photography Project.

We are looking for young people with an interest in photography and a passion for the environment to join us in creating an exciting new photography exhibition. From February – June 2010 the participants will explore the role of the environment in their faiths or belief systems and, with media training, create and design their own photographic exhibition.

With the potential for extensive media coverage, the chance to develop your media and photographic skills, and the opportunity to interact with others through a united goal of combating climate change and inspiring action, this is THE project to be involved in!

To register on this programme or for more information please contact Lucy at Interact: lucy@interact-uk.org.uk. Deadline for registration is 1st March 2010.

About the Project:

In partnership with Global Tolerance and Community Environment Network, Interfaith Action are looking for young people to engage in a unique experience. You will receive media, project management, energy efficiency, events management and interfaith dialogue skills plus leadership training from a variety of experienced trainers and facilitators. You will have the freedom and empowerment to share your stories with your peers, and your communities.

The project will run from March 2010 – June 2010.

The aim of the project will be to create a photography exhibition which presents a need to protect the environment in the context of faith and beliefs. From March – June the candidates will develop an exhibition and receive digital photography training and environmental support as well as sessions with Interfaith Action and other organisations in the sector. With the potential for extensive media coverage, the chance to develop your media and photographic skills, and the opportunity to interact with others through a united goal of combating climate change and inspiring action, this is THE project to be involved in!
