Paideia Project Incubator: Developing new projects
As part of the European Jewish Funds' Paideia Project Incubator 2009 - a program for activists and entrepreneurs for Jewish culture who want to develop new projects in various fields - Poppy Berelowitz coordinates campaigns revolving around environmental and social action issues in Britain.
After noticing that other faiths in her community were speaking out about the environment, Poppy decided to fill the void of Jewish voice on the subject. Addressing topics such as tzedakah, fairtrade, and sustainability, Poppy's online initiative, the Big Green Jewish Website, is helping Jews living in the UK to connect not only to their Judaism but also give back to the environment.
