Isaac Hametz is just awesome. He showed up to Be'er Sheva and disgusted by what he saw in regards to the situation of Ethiopian immigrants, the degradation of the land, and the disintegration of community, he took matters into his own hands. Instead of telling people what they should do, he listened to what the community wanted and needed, and then went about making it happen. From city-wide recycling and composting satellites, to a community urban farm for Ethiopian immigrants, the work Isaac has done with Earth's Promise should be a model to all those seeking social justice in the Jewish world.
